"The Health Talks session was
excellent,
very
interesting and a bit different, and provided a really good
balance between work and worklife balance for our Team Away
Days.
The nutrition and Tai Chi components were really relevant for coping
with our busy and often stressful lives. It was great to see everyone
getting involved in the session and
it has made an impact in the team.
A great session in every way and we would definitely recommend it to
others to include in their team days."

Health: A Balancing Act
This talk can be one, two or all of these topics: nutrition, emotional
wellbeing
and exercise (Tai Chi). All address the need for balance in our busy
lives. Get your team thinking healthy with
dietary and lifestyle suggestions in this fun, interactive and
informative
session.
In
the
nutrition section Judith talks about the body's
acid-alkaline balance.
This balance is very important to our health and wellbeing. You will
learn how to take control of your health by knowing what to eat and
drink and you will learn simple tests you can do to check your
progress along the way. Self monitoring and testing is empowering and
also
a great motivator. For free test kits and information about alkalising
water bottles visit alkaline
information
In
the emotional wellbeing
section, Judith introduces the Bach Flower
remedies as a balancing tool, with the discussion emphasising "a
healthy mind ensures a healthy body". Developed by Dr Edward
Bach,
a London physician, the remedies have now been used worldwide for more
than 70 years.
In the Tai Chi section,
Judith teaches a program called "Tai Chi @
Work".
This is a set of gentle movements providing a simple, effective and
practical exercise regime, which can be performed seated or standing,
for all levels of fitness. The practice of the principles of tai chi
lead to balance in body, mind and spirit.
GO GREEN
This
talk
sheds light on "green
language" and climate change. A perfect way to green your team, with
this lively presentation.
In these challenging times there is much talk about climate change and
carbon footprints but what does it mean and what can or should we do
about it?.
Louise
offers tips on things you can do, from using two squares of
toilet paper (recycled of course) to ensuring there is space behind
your fridge (reduces electricity consumption), to encouraging frogs and
bees in your garden and shopping for an elderly neighbour (makes you
feel good AND saves energy!).
Louise talks about and explains carbon tax, emissions trading scheme,
embodied
energy, biofuel, post-consumer waste and other green language.
AND, she's happy to have a lively discussion or an argument on
"why we should bother"
