ARE YOU ACIDIC? TEST YOURSELF AND FIND OUT ...
I have discovered a company in Byron Bay who are alkaline specialists and
if you click on the picture to your left get a free free
pH test kit. Test your urine and/or saliva and get an instant reading.
If you are very acidic, make some dietary and lifestyle changes and
move up to alkaline - it's a great feeling! And what a great way to
stay motivated, simple and easy to do.
ALKALINE
IONISED WATER - ALKAPOD
A few months ago I bought an Alkapod - it's a stainless steel portable water
alkaliser and
ioniser. You can visit this page for more
info: alkapod. I
have been investigating alkaline water for some time and
when this portable one came on the market I was so excited. I wanted to
try it out before investing in one that attaches to a tap and before
recommending it in my talks, and to friends and family.
I
really started the investigation of alkaline water for my mother who is
in aged care and has a very processed and acidic diet. I just couldn't get her
diet changed to alkaline so I thought if I could get her to drink
alkaline ionised water ... but my mother has always hated drinking
water (a cup of tea will do) ... so I knew it was going to be a
challenge. Whenever I visited she would take a few sips begrudgingly at
my request.
Alkapod
came to the rescue! Since I've been taking the Alkapod over to her she
drinks at least 4 glasses of water during my visit! She loves it -
drinks the whole glass each time and asks for more of "that
alkaline water".
Even though she has Parkinson's and all sort of problems including
chronic constipation, the alkalising water is making her
feel better. I love it too, alkapod water tastes like silk and
is
so
enjoyable to drink, I wouldn't be without it!
this water is really fluffing up my feathers

ARTICLE: YOUR SKIN FROM THE INSIDE OUT
If the eyes are the mirrors of the soul, then our skin is the reflection of our inner health.
Our skin is constantly being stressed from the outside and the inside.
External
stressors are pollution, sunlight, extremes of temperature and the
household chemicals in soaps, washing powders and cosmetics.
Internal
stressors are a diet with too many refined carbohydrates or high in
animal fat, alcohol and coffee. Our daily worries and problems add to
the load.
To promote and maintain vibrant, glowing healthy skin we need to nourish ourselves outside and inside.
Research
has shown that when essential fatty acids and B vitamin are deficient
we can get skin problems such as dryness, eczema and scaling.
Essential
fatty acids can easily be added to your daily routine and found in
ground flaxseeds, chia seeds, fish oil, flaxseed oil and evening
primrose oil. These can be taken as a seed oil or capsule.
B
Vitamins are generally known as a treatment for stress, fatigue and
anxiety, but they are also used to treat dry or itchy skin, cracks and
rashes. These can be taken as tablets or liquid, alone or in a
multivitamin and mineral formula.
Caring
for our skin with gentle exfoliation, dry skin brushing, a natural
daytime moisturiser and a few drops of rosehip or jojoba oil each night
will heal and rejuvenate. Essential oils such as rose, chamomile,
jasmine, rose geranium and neroii promote smooth, soft and moist skin.
Exercise
is also vital to ensure good circulation, respiration and perspiration,
so grab your stainless steel bottle of alkaline water and get moving!
